KEES announces that Executive Search client partner DuPagePads has added two new Vice Presidents to its leadership team – Chad Pedigo and Scott Austgen

DuPagePads, an organization dedicated to ending homelessness in DuPage County, has added two new Vice Presidents to its leadership team – Chad Pedigo as Vice President of Development and Scott Austgen as Vice President of Programs.

Chad Pedigo (Vice President of Development) joins DuPagePads after 11 years of servant leadership and investment in the DuPage County community. Most recently, Chad served as Director of Community Engagement at Bridge Communities, a DuPage County organization focused on transforming the lives of homeless families. He has served as Executive Director (2014), President (2016) and Region Director (2018) for the Naperville and Illinois Jaycees, where his efforts helped innumerable organizations raise significant volunteerism and funds. Chad is an alumnus of North Central College, earning a Master of Leadership Development, and serves as a leadership consultant most recently with the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute. In addition to his leadership roles on local nonprofit boards, commissions and foundations, Chad actively volunteers and enjoys sharing time with his growing family and friends supporting local causes like DuPagePads to end homelessness and create positive change throughout our vibrant community.

Scott Austgen
(Vice President of Programs) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has worked in social services and with people experiencing homelessness for over 18 years. Most recently, Scott was first the Coordinator of Behavioral Health Day Treatment and then an Associate Director of Behavioral Health at Cornerstone Services in Joliet, IL. Previously, Scott was Project Director of the Community Homeless Integration Project at the Renz Addiction Counseling Center, also serving as a counselor at Renz’s offices in St. Charles and Elgin, IL. He has a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of St. Francis and Master of Social Work from Aurora University.

DuPagePads retained KEES as its executive search partner in Fall 2018. KEES worked closely with DuPagePads Executive Director Carol Simler, a pioneer of homeless and human services in the DuPage County nonprofit community and leader of DuPagePads for over 20 years.

"I am eager for the future of DuPagePads with the addition of Chad and Scott to our leadership team,"states Carol Simler. "Our mission to end homelessness in DuPage County is an important one, and Chad and Scott will help us continue to move forward. They each bring a strong background in serving those who find themselves homeless. I’m excited they are joining the DuPagePads team!"

"Working with Carol and her team has been remarkable. She brings the commitment to ensuring strong infrastructure and assuring the capacity is within DuPagePads to serve the homeless population for generations to come. Our team, led by Sue Bultman, found an unparalleled pool of candidates, and we are proud to have partnered with Carol and the Board," says Heather Eddy, co-founder and President/CEO of KEES.
